FSCC June 6, 2026 announcement:

Hello FSCC Folks,

Our June First Saturday Cars & Coffee (FSCC) gathering will be on Saturday, June 6 at our regular location, the Bluegrass Stockyards Regional Marketplace located at 4561 Iron Works Pike, Lexington, KY 40511. We will meet at the regular time of 9-11am.  As usual, thanks to our sponsors there will be no fee for attending our family friendly event.  Our sponsors will be providing the first 50 cups of coffee and donuts free at our gathering room inside the Marketplace.  Many thanks to our continuing sponsors, Wildcat Moving, and MotorVaultKY for making our gatherings possible.  Also, thanks to the Blue Grass Stockyards/Marketplace for providing our regular venue. Please remember out of respect for our sponsors and the other attendees, we do not need speed shots or donuts on the asphalt.  The event is hosted by Cadre Prime LLC.  Note that this is a rain or sunshine event.

So, what happened at our May 2 gathering?  We had a new business display their mobile tire van and describe their services.  You can check them out at ky-lex.gomotires.com or call at 8598802334.  They provide tire service and minor auto service at your home.  Upcoming car event promos were shared by Central Kentucky Mustang Association and the Kentucky State Police.  Attendees included racers, cool trucks, and a major array of classics, customs, exotics and sports.  You can view several of these at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.1019745800504695&type=3.

We also had a visit from the Northern Kentucky Audi club.  They combined attending FSCC with a visit to Keeneland to view potential paddock sites for their club at this year’s Keeneland Concours.  Last year was their first attendance at the concours.  This year they are expecting an expanded group of up to 40 vehicles!

Members of the UK Formula Car Team attended the FSCC event and after the event did course testing on their latest car.  Note that they will also be displaying their car in this year’s concours Paddock.

Reminders for June – July:

1)  This year’s Maserati Mingle will be held on Friday, June 19.  This will be the sixth year the event will be held at the Summit at Fritz Farm on Marion Street.  Event hours are from 5:00pm-9:00pm.  This is a free event both for preregistered vehicle entrants and the public to attend.  Due to the limited display capacity on Marion Street, only preregistered vehicles will be admitted to display.  In each of the previous years it has been necessary to turn away several very nice vehicles on day of show because we were capacity limited on display space.  The close date for nominations is Friday, May 29.  If you would like to be placed on a wait list you can do so online at https://forms.gle/ESJxo1Ht9qrFczbT9.  If a registration vacancy should occur, we will notify you asap.  This event is sponsored by Maserati of Cincinnati.  It is a promotional event raising awareness for the 2026 Keeneland Concours d’Elegance.  As with all Keeneland events, proceeds go to the UK Golisano Children’s Hospital.

2) Also, the Keeneland Concours is on Saturday, July 18.  Now is the time for car clubs to prepare for attending the Car Club Paddock area.  Come on out and enjoy the paddock with 500 of your closest car friends.  Check with your club to ensure they have their paddock space reserved.  If there is no space designated yet, have your club contact get with me at slant@twc.com.  Parking in the paddock is $10 per car in addition to your entry ticket per person.

This year’s concurs feature mark is Ferrari.  Twenty other classes include Studebaker, Drag Racers, Motorcycles, American Collector. Future Classics, Military, Carriages, and others.  Lots of eye candy!!

If you are interested in volunteering to help at the concours, you can sign up at https://keenelandconcours.com/volunteer-sign-up/.  Volunteering at the concours is a great way to enjoy this outstanding event.  You will meet lots of neat folks and help a super charity (UK Golisano Children’s Hospital).

3) If you have car event items you would like to share, feel free to do it at a FSCC gathering or on the FSCC facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/264105264537999/.  Our next FSCC events will be on July 4 and August 1.

Come on out and play in the ‘Yard’.
